Peter Romano
LPC ยท Owner & Licensed Professional Counselor
Peter is a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping families and individuals develop healthy relationships. His desire is to see families thrive and individuals living from a restored understanding of themselves, and learning to be comfortable in the uncomfortable.
Before becoming a mental health counselor, he worked in education as a teacher and a school counselor. He has thoroughly enjoyed working with children and teens, providing them a safe environment that allows for healthy connection that actually builds trust. He has seen the benefits of providing this kind of encouragement in times of confusion, hardship, and crisis.
He loves working with his clients to help them live life to the fullest and reinstill hope when his clients feel like all hope is lost.
Peter is also very passionate about his family. He and his wife have one son and together they live their best lives outdoors. Peter absolutely loves backpacking โ allowing himself the time and space to unplug and live in the woods for several days helps him reconnect and recenter his life. Backpacking provides a personal challenge that he actively chooses to overcome, and it gives him an opportunity to invite others to join him in his passion, building deeper friendships.
Peter is the owner and operator of Comfort Creek Counseling and is in the process of starting Pathtaker, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) focused on Mental Health Intensives for all populations. Through these two avenues, Peter is excited to help people learn to be Comfortable in the Uncomfortable so that clients can feel empowered to choose their next adventure.
